Alcogal gives back to the community
Alcogal delivered donation to the mothers of the Hogar Lucy Tzanetatos
This year, Alcogal chose to support the Hogar Lucy Tzanetatos, along with ProEd, as its two emblematic foundations. The Hogar Lucy Tzanetatos provides housing for the mothers of child patients who come from remote areas of the country to receive medical treatment at the Children’s Hospital in Panama City. On July 7th, Alcogal representatives donated personal hygiene kits for the mothers staying at the home.
Alcogal participated in the inauguration of ProEd’s ideal classroom
On April 28th, Alcogal representatives attended the inauguration of the ideal classroom, designed by ProEd and implemented at the Nuestra Señora de la Merced Institute. The costs of the restoration of the chosen classroom were partially covered with the funds donated by Alcogal to the ProEd Foundation in 2015. By supporting ProEd’s effort, Alcogal contributes to the broader goals of narrowing Panama’s educational gap and improving students’ schooling to ensure that they are capable of assuming the challenges that lay ahead for the country.
Alcogal celebrated Earth Day
On April 22nd, Alcogal celebrated Earth Day along with the students of the Manuel Espinosa Batista School, the ProEd Foundation and Bliss Earth. The group joined efforts to plant flowers in two of the main gardens of the school. During the activity, the school principal stressed the importance of trees within our ecosystem and officially launched this environmental project, emphasizing that the students would be responsible for maintaining and caring for the new plants. This activity was sponsored by Alcogal, in alliance with the ProEd Foundation and Bliss Earth.
